Every journey has a beginning.
This is the story of Toki’s journey through the thick jungle of making money online. I don’t know if anyone will be interested, but I do invite you to join me on this adventure.
Just to give you a little background on me. I am a little bit of a techie. I do learn better hands on and I have no problem with sharing what I have learned or will learn.
In case you’re wondering why I am not using my real name, I like my anonymity. This doesn’t render my words to be false. Even if I were a fat-nasty rich bonehead, it wouldn’t change my principles. I believe in telling the truth and would rather hurt your feelings than lie.
OK, here’s the beginning.
I began my journey back in October of 2011. I spent less than $40 for a course. The course was based around building affiliate websites. The information was useful, but it still had holes in it. I read through the material about three times so that I could have a good understanding of it, but some of it was lacking and left me with questions.
I marched on with the system. I paid for a domain name and for hosting. I quickly had a website up, but there was so much to learn. WordPress is the popular way to quickly put up a website without knowing too much about coding. Still, I was digging into the back-end of it to learn more and manipulate the guts of it. I am still no expert but I did learn a lot.
To this day, that website has not made me a single dime.
It has not deterred me from continuing to try. I chalk it up as a learning experience and will let the domain name die off.
Now, I have made some money online. But, this is a far cry from where we would all like to be.
Stick with me so that we can be successful together.
