hirokin Hirokin – The Last Samurai

A movie set on a desolate planet where there is one man who can save the indigenous population from eradication. It’s kinda like Dune breeds with The Last Samurai with a side order of Gladiator thrown in. It’s cliche but with some original ideas. As far as entertainment value, I’d have to give it 3 stars on the B-Flick scale. It’s not necessarily something that I would have dropped money on to see in the theater, but it would do for a one night, one dollar rental.

  1. Good pull, looks kind of cheesy but if you know that before hand then it should be still be entertaining. I’ll definitely check it out when I get a chance. Thanks for the post, probably wouldn’t have heard of this flick otherwise. I’ll haller back with my 2 cents after I’ve seen it.

  2. Well, I watched it…or at least tried to. Got through over half of it before slipping into a coma. Your review was pretty fair, but the only way I’d suggest some one should watch this is if they’re laying on the couch with nothing to do and you can’t reach the remote. The dialog was extremely slow. The music, while epic, was out of place with the scenes. To many close-ups and slow-mo’s. I’d give it a low 2 star rating on the B-flick scale. This is just because the special effects are decent.
